Reel Horror

It seems that after talking about for quite some time now, about two and a half years, filming for Prom Night is finally underway. For those of you who didn't know about the remake, Stephen Susco, who went on to write The Grudge and Grudge 2 remakes, first signed on to write the script for Prom Night in October of 2004. Then in January 2005, Susco announced that the script was done and was being turned into Columbia. October 2006 Columbia traded Prom Night with Screen Gems for Identity. Now it appears that everything is a go, with freshly cast actors Brittany Snow, Brianne Davis, and Johnathon Schaech who you may remember from Masters of Horror's episode "The Washingtonians," in which he co-wrote.

The remake is being helmed by Nelson McCormick, who has until now, directed mostly television, with a possible release date of February 2008.
