Friday the 13th asin: B00001MXXM

Sean S. Cunningham directed this. It hit the world 1980. The summer camp Crystal Lake have a nasty history, filled with blood and horror killings. In 20 years the camp (by the local dudes known as "Camp Blood") has been closed, because of the things that went down...A man has now taken over the camp. He plans to open it again. He hires a gang of teenagers to help him to fix the place. The re-opening day is getting closer, but someone doesn't like it. The teenagers disappear one by one.

This is the first in the famous Friday series. It's a very pleasant horror movie. It contains some nasty murders, but the effects start to look a bit corny nowadays. But it could be fun to watch some nice hand-made make up murders in this time of computer-effecting. The story in Friday the 13th is also well written. And even if the killer is not Jason, this movie shows where Jason has inherit his nice touch for killing with different tools in different ways. This is place 2 on the list of bizarre mothers. Bates being number one.

I was in right age when this movie hit the video renting market in the early 80s. It surely scared the shit out of the little puppy. This is one of the movies that hooked me in the horror business. It's a classic that I recommend to anyone that likes horror movies.

And the jump scene in the end. The first time I saw it, I almost wet my pants! I still think of it with a tear in my nostalgic horror loving eyes. It so great way to end the movie.

And now for the less good things about the movie. There are some stupid things in Friday 13th, but I will not list them. Just the things that keep bugging me over and over again. 1. Right in the beginning the cook girl starts to talk to a dog at the gas station, asking how long it is to the Crystal Lake Camp. Please. She talks like for a minute. With a dog!! 2. The hobo-guy, that went out to the camp, to warn the teenagers (you are doooomed).Why is he standing in a closet? That's so stupid.
