There is an old saying that's goes: If you seen one of the F13 movies, then you seen them all. And it's a truth. The stories don't change much. It's a bunch of teenagers going to "Camp Blood", the have sex, smokes some pot and gets slaughtered by Jason. There have been a few exceptions, but that's the plot of the average f13 movie. Part 2 follows the basic story. And it was done 1981, and directed by Steve Miner.

Part 2 is a good horror movie. It's fun to watch Jason in his "early years". The character that so many of us have come to love, is very different here, from what we are used to. The first and biggest difference is that he yet not has got his hockey-mask! He hides his face in an old sack. Another thing is that he runs! He wouldn't do that today. And the third thing is that he is a real wimp. He uses his machete with a gentle touch that's so anti-Jason. And have to whack 3 times to get a hole in a car-roof. He falls and rolls away when he gets the car door on him. And fighting with the hero guy and they are almost equal in strength...

The very opening scene contains a lot of anti- Jason stuff as well.

1. Jason walking the streets of a town.

2. Jason makes a phone call to victim.

3. Jason have tracked down the girl from part one.

But, this is an early F13, and the makers couldn't know what would become of their creation later on. I forgive them...

But there are things that I not can forgive. When the girl, in the end chase, runs into a room, she hides under the bed. She notice Jason enters the room. He is furious in his search for the bimbogirl. She lies under the bed and sees a mouse. She gets so scared of THE MOUSE! That she pee in her pants. Please! She got bigger problems. And another stupid thing is when the cop spotted a man (Jason) going into the woods after crossing the road, the cop jumps out and run after the guy. Why? He runs for like 5 minutes. It's no crime walking in the woods. And even if he thought it was one of the teenagers, I doubt that he would be that angry. How he found the way to Jason's lair is a mystery of its own.

Another annoying thing about this movie is that the director seems to have a thing for sneaking camera. There's a lot of filming behind threes and bushes. I think he must be working as a Peeping-Tom when he doesn't direct movies.

And in the end, there is no real death scene for Jason.

It may sound that I don't like this movie, but I do. I recommend it. Both for the nice haircuts and clothing from the 80s, and for the scene were Jason lean his head for the first time, cute as a puppy from hell.

If I should rank this against the other F13, it would be placed somewhere in the middle.
