A Nightmare on Elm Street

This is the first of the movies with the knife-nailed man in the dirty stripe-sweater. And in my opinion it is the best as well. Never have I seen Freddy sharper than in part one. He is more evil, more nightmarish and more razor. He is great.
When Wes Craven came with NoES back in 1984, he scared the shit out of us. This was something never seen before. The story was great. The effect was really cool, and, of course, Mr Krueger was a new, fresh character. The man whit the badly burned face and the killer quick comments was a new type of horror movie bad ass. At least not seen to often. I believe that much of the success of NoES, is to be found in the good work they did when they created The Freddy dude. He is so unusual compared to the other stars on the horror movie sky. Where Jason, Leatherface and Michael is silence, Freddy talks. They are “aliveâ€, Freddy lives in dreams. They are big and muscular; Freddy is fit and so on.
The story is that girl 1 starts to dream of an evil guy. Girl 1 tells girl 2. Girl 2 says she also have bad dreams. Who is it they dream of ? Why do the parents react so strange when they heard of the man. What is the truth about Freddy Krueger? It’s a nice story, well written. And some scenes are so good. The soft bedroom wall. The bed fountain and the bath scene. I love em´all.
For the ladies. Young Johnny Depp is slaughtered in this terrific horror movie.
Reflecting facts 1. Depp stared in Edward Scissorhands. A bizarre version of Freddy?
Reflecting facts 2. Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) Played Willie, the nice nerd-lizard in the television series “Vâ€. The two characters are like day and night, cat and dog, Jekyll and hide and so on...
Check this movie out.
