Philippe Delambre, the son of the original fly, have secretly continued his fathers macabre works. And when his mother dies, no one stand in the way from him to start experimenting with the machine that transformed his father into the human fly. To help him in the lab, is his uncle, played by classic scary dude Vincent Price.

The plot is that evil guys want to get their hands on the machine.

The moral is that we should not experiment with things like that.

What can you say about this movie? If you like those turkey movies with Price, you certainly like "Return of the Fly". But it is real low-budget quality. Both on script, effects and acting. It's just because it's so old, may some of you claim, but to compare, Hitchcock made " North by Northwest" the same year.

This movie is so bad, that it is fun to watch. I have to mention the best part in the movie:

1. the fly. A huge plastic head. What a Make- up!!!

2. The reaction from Philippe, when ever he sees a fly. What acting!!!

3. The rabbit with human hands. What a bizarre horror looking creature!!!

I can't recommend this Edward L Bernds movie to anyone. Not if you are looking for horror. There has been too much water under the bridges since 1959. No one gets scared from this today. But it could give you a laugh or two.

Hey! What a nice haircut on Mr Vincent Price.

Hey! Wonder if "the machine" ever was in Batman, the TV-series? There is batman feeling over the whole movie! I miss a "Smack", "Pow!" and a " Crunch" here and there.
